Sick of People Who Feel the Need to “Compete”

I am so sick of people who feel the need to “compete” with you.

So what if I have a new computer or a new car.  Does that mean you need to buy a newer computer or car?

So what?  You paid more!  Or you had to finance the darn thing!  I didn’t.

I am no better or worse than you, and vice versa.  I don’t care to compete .  .  .

I just want to live my life and enjoy what God has given me.  Thank you for letting me get that off my chest.

In response to Kirsten Oh my gosh! I have a set of friends that is exactly like that, we got a new computer a little better than theirs because we could afford it and wanted it, immediately they became competitive and had to have better. They compare incomes, memorize other peoples incomes and gossip, always trying to keep up with the Jones’s. We had to end the friendship it got so bad one day one of their kids who was friends with mine came over and said that his dad had made the comment that he and my husband always tried to keep up with each other. Maybe on his end, we just live our life and mind our business and try not to brag or boast or care what others have.
