New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum
At 724 Rue Dumaine in New Orleans, LA, you’ll find a truly unique museum: The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum.
Pass by the alligator’s head at the entrance, and you’ll enter a world of powerful magic - one best visited in the daylight. The museum is tiny, but in it you’ll see everything from stuffed snakes to shrunken heads - anything and everything connected to the practice of voodoo.
- Voodoo dolls.
- Gris-gris bags.
- Potions.
You can pick these up in the museum store! Presided over by a portrait of Marie Laveau, the Popess of voodoo, the museum will provide insight into voodoo - the religion as well as the culture. You can even get your tarot cards read by Queen Margaret, who also acts as a tour guide. Want to know more? Go here:
