Just Say “NO!” to the Time Leech

Have you ever known someone who seems to suck up all your time?  I have.

I have a friend who is consistently late to every activity we’ve planned together.

If she’s supposed to meet me at nine, I can expect that she won’t start getting ready until that time and won’t be out the door until twelve!!!

She’ll ask me to come pick her up, promising me she’s ready to go, and when I do- I end up waiting two hours or longer for her to put her makeup on.

Finally, when we do go out, she talks over everything I say and interrupts to talk about her collections.

Just say “NO!”  to the time leech!

I totally agree with Aubrey. I have family and friends who are NEVER on time, yet command punctuality from me. Of course, I tend to be punctual 95% of the time, so why wouldn’t they? It irritates me when I invite someone over for dinner, and say that we will eat at 5:30, only to have them roll in at six, or even later! They never apologize, and they always have some excuse why you shouldn’t be mad at them. For the most part, I avoid people who cannot extend the courtesy of a phone call to say they are going to be late, and make an effort to be punctual. The world does work on time, and although you may have something else going one, someone else might be waiting on you.
