Hotels in Inverness: staying close to the Loch Ness Monster

Surprisingly for such a historic location, Inverness only became a city at the turn of this century and but it has been the gateway to the North of Scotland for countless centuries.  Although still an industrial city, Inverness has prospered and running through it is the River Ness which flows from the famous Loch Ness. It is located just below Black Isle and the Moray Firth and is a great base to choose to explore this part of Scotland.
