Suffocatingly Sweet

Here is a new Urban Legend that has surfaced.  The name of the product has been changed to save the company any more headaches!  There are several different versions of the legend with the fatality changing from humans on down the food chain.  See if you have heard a version of this one!

If you use (air freshener product) beware!  If you use it near your bird, rodent, reptile the chemicals will kill it almost immediately as soon as it is inhaled.  The product irritates the bird, rodent, reptiles air passages till they bleed and an animal that small can die from the blood loss immediately.

A cat/dog breeder used this air freshener product to freshen the air in a laundry room that had a new litter of puppies/kittens in it.  She did use a lot as it was a large litter.  She went out to prepare dinner and when she returned to check on the babies the entire litter was DEAD and the mother barely breathing.  They had been poisoned on by the chemicals in the air freshener.

The last version is similar to above but the lady uses it in her car and is found dead by her husband.

500 pound woman in the ER

Six firemen dragged a woman with shortness on breath and who weighed approximately 500 pounds into the ER on a tarp.

While trying to undress the lady an asthma inhaler fell out of one of the folds under her arm.

After an X-ray showed a round mass on he left side of her chest her massive left breast was lifted to find a shiny new dime.

And last but not least during a pelvic exam a TV remote control was discovered in one of the folds of her stomach.

Bloody Mary

Here is a true story sent in by one of our faithful readers about her experience when she tried to test one of the oldest urban legends.  Maybe it’s not a legend after all…

I think everyone has heard the urban legend of Bloody Mary.

It goes something like this:  I don’t the background but if you go in the bathroom, turn off the lights and spin around and say Bloody Mary seven times, she appears to you in the mirror.  It is supposedly some woman that had a gruesome death.

Anyway, when I was about 14, my younger sister came home telling me this story.  I, being the older and wiser sister, told her those were just stories and not true at all.

Well, she made me prove it.  I had to do it then!!  So I went into the bathroom and did the necessary steps.  I came out and my sister was standing at the lavatory in front of the mirror.  I leaned over and looked into the mirror and said with confidence, “See.  I told you it was just a story.”

Right when I said that my hair went up into flames.  I had leaned over a lit candle and my hair caught on fire from it.  It was totally explainable but still really weird.  I had to cut off most of my hair because it burned so much of it!!  I will never do that again.
