5 Ways To Add New Life To A Seemingly Dead Information Product

Let’s presume that, your information product has exhausted its salability.  Its web market cycle has reached the end of the line.  Most of the prospects under its dedicated market has already bought one, and no purchases have been made for many months.

Should this indicate that your digital product has ended being a cash cow and should be put to rest already?

Most definitely not!

Assuming that your eBook has arrived at the end of its market life, you can continue to profit from the same by observing other courses of action and implementing new sets of techniques.  Your eBook still got some fight in it, and its just a matter of choosing the proper arena for what it can still provide.

Allow me to discuss five approaches which you can use to monetize old information products:

1.    Sell resale rights to your eBook.  By offering your eBook together with the profit opportunity of being able to sell the same, you will be tapping into a different audience - online entrepreneurs who are constantly looking for goods to sell.  More importantly, by including resale rights to your product, you can sell the same for at least 4 times more than the actual selling price.

2.    Sell private label rights to your eBook.  PLR is much like resale rights, however, PLR comes with the power to configure, alter and/or completely transform the product, as well as the power to attach the wielder’s name as the creator of the same.  Some product publishers desire to preserve the content and integrity of their products and only offer the more restrictive resale rights.  But other product publishers merely want to earn off their eBooks and they include the most inviting rights possible, namely PLR, to command the grandest price that can be garnered.

3.    Chop down your eBook and use the separated parts for many internet marketing purposes.  For article marketing?  Web content?  As lessons for your e-course?  Fodder for your email marketing campaign?  Your seemingly dead information product can be an excellent source for such things.

4.    Reformat your eBook and use it as a viral marketing monster.  Print your URL on each page and distribute the eBook free of charge.  Watch the volume of visitors led to your website grow at an ever growing rate.

5.    Make your information product into a physical product and sell it in virtual or real world bookstores.  There are several fulfillment services on the World Wide Web that specialize on such a goal.  My personal preference is Lulu.com, for the sole reason that they don’t peg a specific number as minimum order.
